Who is eligible for free training?

Our Skills Bootcamps are typically 6 week intensive courses delivered in partnership with the North of Tyne Combined Authority and are available for anyone over 19 with a North of Tyne postcode.

How long are the courses?

Our NTCA Skills Bootcamp is delivered across 6 weeks with scope to extend learning time if any units are missed, our Durhamworks Crewing Academy is a 5 week intensive.

Where does the training take place?

Though our office is based in Tynemouth, we deliver training in a host of venues around the North East. Typically, any classroom based sessions will be held in Tynemouth for NTCA Skills Bootcamps, and in a closer regional venue for our Durhamworks courses such as Chester-le-street or Peterlee. We also deliver training at various venues including The Cluny, NX Newcastle and The Engine Rooms North Shields.

What happens when the course is over?

As part of our commitment to our learners, we will continue to support you in your career long after the course has ended. With guaranteed employer connections, many course participants have begun work in the live events industry before the course concludes. We will be there as a point of contact and advice, passing on any employment opportunities that may be right for you.
